What is the MAC Address OUI Footprinter?
A pure organizational tracking tool that maps physical network interface addresses to their registered corporate manufacturer.
How it Works under the hood
Every network card in the world is assigned a permanent, unique 48-bit identifier (a MAC address). The first 24 bits (the Organizationally Unique Identifier, or OUI) are strictly leased by the IEEE to hardware vendors. Our server acts as a stealth proxy, converting your hexadecimal payload into an IEEE OUI database query to instantly identify the hardware brand without exposing your IP address to third-party databases.
SysAdmin & Security Use Cases
- »Trace unknown 'ghost' devices establishing mysterious DHCP leases on corporate Wi-Fi.
- »Identify spoofed traffic originating from localized rogue Raspberry Pi honeypots.
- »Verify the manufacturer pipeline of enterprise firewall equipment before deployment.
- »Sort internal switch ARP tables by hardware manufacturer for asset tracking.
