What is the DNS A Lookup?
Look up a live A record for any domain, run from the server rather than your own machine, so the result isn't skewed by your device's local DNS cache.
How it works
The backend uses Node's dns/promises module pointed at public resolvers (8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1) instead of your network's default resolver, so a stale local cache can't affect the answer. For record types Node can't resolve natively (DNSKEY, DS, HTTPS, SVCB, TLSA, TSIG), it falls back to Google's DNS-over-HTTPS API. The result is shown in a dig-style output.

- Checking MX and TXT records while debugging why outbound email is being rejected as spam.
- Looking up a record type your OS's built-in nslookup or dig doesn't handle.
