Privacy Policy

noob.tools is built around a simple principle: the security and network tools on this site (certificate generators, key matchers, DNS/email analyzers, and similar utilities) are designed to run entirely in your browser wherever technically possible. Sensitive input — private keys, certificates, pasted email headers — is processed locally with JavaScript and is never transmitted to our servers unless a tool explicitly says otherwise (for example, tools that query DNS, WHOIS, or a target host necessarily send that target to our server to perform the lookup, since browsers cannot make those connections directly).
What we store locally in your browser
We use localStorage to remember your theme preference, cookie-consent choice, and some tool input state, so the site behaves consistently between visits. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Third-party services we use
This site uses the following third-party services, each of which may set its own cookies or process data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics — collects anonymized usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) to help us understand how the site is used.
- Google AdSense — displays advertising and may use cookies to personalize ads based on your browsing activity. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.
- Cloudflare — provides our CDN, DDoS protection, and basic traffic analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics / Insights).
Data you explicitly submit
Some tools require you to actively submit data to our server to function. In every case, that data is used solely to perform the requested function:
- The Automated Blacklist Monitor and email-confirmation flow store the IP address and email address you provide, so we can periodically re-check the IP and email you the result. You can stop this at any time via the unsubscribe link included in every alert email.
- The Email Authentication Header Analyzer's share feature temporarily stores the parsed result of an email you choose to share, under a random link that expires and is deleted after 24 hours.
- The Contact form sends your name, email, and message to us via email, solely to respond to your inquiry.
Cookie consent
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies (Analytics/AdSense). Declining does not disable the site's core tools, which work independently of any tracking script.
